Edward Schnitzer, MD

As a Board-Certified Physiatrist, Dr. Schnitzer specializes in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. In 2011, he established his practice, Mobile Physical Medicine and Wellness. His practice focuses on the non-surgical treatment of neck, back, and other spine and neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Schnitzer manages patients with Opioid Use Disorder using Buprenorphine (i.e., Suboxone) as a medical treatment. He treats migraine headaches with botox injections and other medicines. Additionally, he uses electrodiagnostic testing to diagnose conditions such as carpal tunnel and other neuropathies.

Dr. Schnitzer attended medical school at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. After working as an attending physician in the Emergency Department in New York. He chose to pursue a second residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation which he completed at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. He then moved to Mobile, Alabama where he has lived and practiced medicine since 1997.
